SmartStation™ Gas Handling Systems

Recovery, Pump, and Vent (RPV) SmartStation Unit

Overview

VTI’s Recovery, Pump, and Vent (RPV) Unit is engineered to provide recovery of tracer gas, evacuation of the Unit Under Test (UUT), and vent of the UUT for A-Coil and Condensing Unit manufacturing.

VTI’s custom processing gun allows for ease of connection between the UUT and the RPV system. When the UUT is connected the RPV begins to recover the tracer gas, and direct it to the customer’s recovery system. After recovery, the UUT will be evacuated to get the remaining slug of air / tracer gas mixture out. The RPV will then vent the UUT back to atmosphere and the UUT will be ready to move down the line accordingly.

The control system is integrated with the customer’s database to provide real-time data. It is also interlocked with other equipment on the production line to guarantee testing requirements are met in production.

  • Product: A-Coils and Condensing Units

Refrigerant Vapor Recovery (RVR) System

Overview

VTI’s Refrigerant Vapor Recovery (RVR) System is engineered to provide efficient Recovery of Refrigerant vapor and controlled Nitrogen backfill for A-Coil manufacturing.

With VTI’s custom Processing Gun, the RVR system recovers the refrigerant vapor used for leak testing from inside the Unit Under Test (UUT). The recovered refrigerant vapor is then routed to the customer’s recovery system. After recovery, through the same processing gun, the system will back fill the UUT with a Nitrogen holding charge. This custom modular frame is constructed from 80-20 Aluminum per customer request.

The control system is integrated with the customer’s database to provide real-time data. It is also interlocked with other equipment on the production line to guarantee testing requirements are met in production.
