Tony is an East Tennessee native and a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.  Tony joined VTI in 2007 as a member of the design engineering team and brought with him an interest in machining and metal fabrication.  As a design engineer at VTI, Tony was responsible for the development and design of custom vacuum and leak detection equipment as well as addressing manufacturing techniques for the fabrication of such systems.  During his tenure at VTI, Tony has designed and managed the production of countless custom leak detection and vacuum systems for clients in the Automotive, Medical, HVAC, Refrigeration, Energy, and Defense sectors.

In 2012, Tony was asked to manage VTI’s Design Engineering Department.  As the Design Engineering Manager, Tony is responsible for the coordination of design projects, maintaining Engineering best practices, preserving project schedules, and providing experience-based guidance and knowledge to the Design Engineering team.

Tony’s knowledge of system design and fabrication makes him a valuable resource for working with customers to identify optimum solutions for their unique and challenging needs from concept through implementation.
