Gas Furnace Run Tester

Overview

VTI’s Gas Furnace Run Tester is engineered to provide reliable Run, Electrical and Functional tests for Gas Furnace manufacturing.

This Run Tester measures Gas and Electrical consumption along with overall functionality of a completed unit. The variable transformer allows the Unit Under Test (UUT) to be run at specific voltages for testing. The integrated Hi-Pot is used for high potential (high voltage) testing to verify electrical soundness.

The control system is integrated with the customer’s database to provide real-time data. It is also interlocked with other equipment on the production line to guarantee testing requirements are met in production.

Oil Tank Proof, Leak, and Run Test System

Overview

VTI’s Oil Tank Proof, Leak, and Run Test System is engineered to provide a safely enclosed Proof & Leak Test, and complete Run Test for Chiller Manufacturing.

This custom system is comprised of three distinct stations, Proof and Leak Test Station, Assembly and Horizontal Tilt Station, and Run Test Station. The Unit Under Test (UUT) will be lifted by a scissor lift table into the safety enclosure to undergo a Proof Test. The product will be pressurized to 70 psig and a pressure decay test will determine if the UUT Passes or Fails.  If the Proof Test results in a pass, the UUT will proceed to the Horizontal Tilt Station, where the operator will insert the UUT into the final casing and complete the assembly. The 90 degree Tilter will then orient the UUT to the correct position for Run Testing. Lastly the UUT will undergo a Run Test to measure amperage and resistance along with testing of the overall functionality of the unit.
